💨 Abstract
On August 13, 2025, a migrant boat capsized near the Italian island of Lampedusa. The incident resulted in at least 20 deaths, with another dozen missing. The boat had carried 92 to 97 migrants from Libya. Sixty survivors were brought to Lampedusa, and a search for the missing continues.
