đź’¨ Abstract
The stock market experienced its worst day since May due to a slowdown in hiring and President Trump's new tariffs on U.S. imports. The S&P 500, Dow, and Nasdaq all saw significant declines, with the S&P 500 falling 1.6%, the Dow dropping 1.2%, and the Nasdaq losing 2.2%. The weak hiring report increased expectations of an interest rate cut in September.
