💨 Abstract
In November 2025, a train in eastern Poland was sabotaged, leading Poland to deploy 10,000 troops to protect critical infrastructure. This incident is one of 145 acts of disruption across Europe attributed to Russia, aimed at undermining support for Ukraine and identifying security vulnerabilities. These acts, ranging from vandalism to cyberattacks, strain European security resources. Russia uses foreigners with criminal backgrounds as proxies, making the operations cost-effective.
