💨 Abstract
At 90, bassist Carol Kaye, known for her work on iconic 1960s hits, has declined her induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Kaye, who played on songs by the Beach Boys, Simon & Garfunkel, and others, cited the Hall's lack of recognition for studio musicians' contributions as her reason. She was expected to be inducted in November alongside Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker, and Cyndi Lauper.
