💨 Abstract
Italian rally driver Matteo Doretto, 21, died in a testing accident in Poland. He was conducting a private test session for the upcoming Rally Poland when his Peugeot 208 car hit a tree. His co-driver, Samuele Pellegrino, was unhurt. Doretto was the Italian junior champion last year and was in his first season in the European Rally Championship, where he was fourth in the junior standings.
