A's rookie center fielder Denzel Clarke is on the injured list with a grade two adductor strain, sidelining him for a few weeks. Manager Mark Kotsay stated that Clarke was showing improving offensive performance before the injury. Lawrence Butler started in center field for the A’s, with Miguel Andujar in right field. No timeline for Clarke's return has been given yet.
