💨 Abstract
Liverpool's offseason spending surpassed £300 million with the signing of 18-year-old Italian defender Giovanni Leoni from Parma for £26 million. Leoni, who impressed at Parma after stints at Padova and Sampdoria, will compete with Joe Gomez for a spot in the starting lineup alongside Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate. Meanwhile, talks for Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi have stalled over the fee.
