đź’¨ Abstract
In New York, the largest Martian meteorite, NWA 16788, weighing 54 pounds, was sold for $5.3 million. Discovered in Niger in 2023, it's the largest known piece of Mars on Earth. Meanwhile, a juvenile Ceratosaurus dinosaur skeleton sold for $30.5 million, also surpassing expectations. The meteorite's unique traits and the dinosaur's rarity were key factors in their high sales.
