💨 Abstract
On May 8, 2025, residents of the scenic mountain village of Gingal in northern Kashmir sought refuge in a cowshed during intense shelling from both sides of the border with Pakistan. Many fled to Baramulla after the night of fear, finding their homes damaged. In a ceasefire after May 10, they returned to a village riddled with shrapnel.
