💨 Abstract
investment firm RedBird Capital Partners has agreed to buy the publisher of Britain's 170-year-old Daily Telegraph for about 500 million pounds ($674 million). The deal, announced on Friday (May 23, 2025), ends a lengthy takeover process for the conservative-leaning newspaper group. It's previously been owned by the Barclay family and is historically aligned with Britain's Conservative Party.
