💨 Abstract
Hungary's LGBTQ+ community is defying a government ban to hold the largest Pride march in the country's history. The government, led by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, has passed a law prohibiting events that "depict or promote" homosexuality to minors, explicitly targeting Budapest Pride. Despite threats of fines and jail time, organizers, along with Mayor Gergely Karácsony, plan to proceed with the event as a municipal activity.
