💨 Abstract
In Haiti, three police officers and two civilians were killed in the country’s central region due to surging gang violence. The officers were part of a specialized unit, UDMO, often deployed during protests. The incident was captured in a video showing gunmen near a burning armored vehicle. The local police union, SPNH-17, criticized the government's lack of support for police during recent deadly incidents.
