💨 Abstract
Belgian police questioned two Israeli army members attending a music festival over alleged serious violations of international humanitarian law in Gaza. They were released after interrogation. The Hind Rajab Foundation, a Belgium-based group, hailed the move as a "turning point" in seeking accountability for alleged Israeli war crimes. Israel maintains its forces abide by international law. The questioning follows complaints filed by the foundation and another group. It was initiated by a recent amendment in Belgium's criminal code for prosecuting overseas crimes.
