💨 Abstract
Shigeko Kagawa, 114, from Nara Prefecture, has become Japan’s oldest living person. A retired physician, she served during World War II and retired at 86. Notably, at 109, she was one of the oldest torchbearers in Olympic history. Known for her active lifestyle, Kagawa attributes her longevity to maintaining an independent and free spirit.
