💨 Abstract
Pakistani intelligence agents arrested Sultan Aziz Azzam, the spokesman for the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP), while he attempted to cross into Pakistan from Afghanistan. Azzam, designated a terrorist by the U.S. in 2021, was a significant figure in ISKP's propaganda efforts. The arrest, which occurred in May, is seen as a major blow to the militant group, which has been attempting a resurgence in the region.
