💨 Abstract
A hosepipe ban has been announced in Kent and Sussex due to an extremely dry spring, affecting over a million people. The restriction will prohibit the use of hosepipes and sprinklers for non-essential purposes, aiming to preserve water for essential uses. The ban starts from July 18 and South East Water will announce further details next week. The measure aligns with similar restrictions in Yorkshire and is part of the region’s drought mitigation strategies.
