💨 Abstract
Paul Chowles, an NCA officer, stole 50 Bitcoin from a seized USB stick linked to hacker Thomas White. He converted £59,000 (worth over £4.3 million now) into cash to pay for nursery fees and daily expenses. After White reported the missing Bitcoin, Chowles was arrested and sacked as he had access to the private keys due to his role.
