A 24-year-old British snorkeler died in Indonesia after a seizure caused her to plunge 50 feet into the Semangko Sea near Pink Beach on July 30. She was with a tour group and was rushed to shore but died less than an hour later. The incident is under investigation. Authorities are conducting interrogations on the crew and tourists. A Sand mix of microscopic red organisms called foraminifera gives samed beach its distinctive pink color.
