💨 Abstract
The NHS is introducing a chickenpox vaccine for young children, combined with the MMR jab. This move, recommended by the JCVI, aims to protect children from a potentially serious illness and reduce parental work absences. The vaccine will be offered to children born after January 1, 2025, with catch-up programs for older children. The rollout is expected to save the NHS £15 million annually and reduce income loss due to parental leave.
