💨 Abstract
Five people died and two were injured when rocks collapsed at a stone quarry in Sivaganga, Tamil Nadu. The victims, mostly workers, were trapped under debris, and some succumbed en route to the hospital. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced compensation and directed officials to expedite rescue efforts and provide medical care. The cause of the collapse is under investigation. The deceased have been identified, with some hailing from different states.
