💨 Abstract
Justice Kempaiah Somashekar of the Karnataka High Court was appointed as the Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court on May 20. This appointment was recommended by the Supreme Court collegium on May 15, led by Chief Justice B R Gavai. Justice Somashekar will take over from the incumbent, Justice D Krishnakumar, who retires on May 21. The Union Law Ministry officially announced the appointment.
