In Bangladesh, a 38-year-old Hindu man, Rana Pratap Bairagi, was shot and killed in Jessore. Bairagi was also the acting editor of a local newspaper. Separately, a grocery store owner, Sarat Mani Chakraborty, was fatally attacked in Narsingdi. These incidents occur amid a surge in violence against minorities, with several Hindu men recently lynched or burned to death.
