Seven journalists and commentators, including Wajahat Khan and Moeed Pirzada, were sentenced to double life terms in Pakistan for "digital terrorism" and inciting violence during 2023 protests following Imran Khan's arrest. The convicted individuals, tried in absentia, include Sabir Shakir, Shaheen Sehbai, Adil Raja, Syed Akbar Hussain, and Haider Raza Mehdi.
