💨 Abstract
Nepal's legal landscape underwent a significant change on October 6 as Prakashman Singh Raut was sworn in as the new Chief Justice. The appointment followed a unanimous endorsement from the parliamentary hearing committee and was in accordance with the Constitution. Raut, a former Supreme Court Justice, brings extensive legal experience to the role, having served as an advocate and senior advocate before becoming President of the Supreme Court Bar Association in 2006.
