đź’¨ Abstract
The leader of Yemen's southern separatists, Aidarous al-Zubaidi, missed a flight to Riyadh for crisis talks, raising concerns about his whereabouts and complicating efforts to resolve a military escalation between Saudi Arabia and the UAE. This crisis has fractured a coalition fighting the Iran-backed Houthis. Zubaidi's Southern Transitional Council (STC) claimed he was overseeing operations in Aden, while Saudi Arabia accused him of treason.
