đź’¨ Abstract
The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen reported that Aidarous al-Zubaidi, the head of UAE-backed southern separatists, fled Yemen by boat and then flew to Abu Dhabi via Mogadishu. This move escalates tensions between Saudi Arabia and the UAE, as Zubaidi missed crisis talks in Riyadh. The UAE's alleged involvement in his escape could further strain relations, as Saudi Arabia had urged the UAE to control the separatists.
