💨 Abstract

SARS has ended its work-from-home initiative, requiring all employees to return to the office full-time from January 2026. Introduced during the pandemic, the arrangement was never formalized but was part of the organization’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP). The Public Servants Association (PSA) confirmed the decision, noting it was always subject to withdrawal. Employees have expressed dissatisfaction, and the PSA is seeking clarity at the National Consultative Forum.
