Kitesurfer Graham Howes, 38, died in a rare accident off the coast of Bloubergstrand, South Africa. After a thorough investigation, coroners confirmed that Howes was fatally struck by a whale while kitesurfing near a pod of whales. The impact rendered him unconscious, leading to his drowning. Howes was a respected figure in the extreme sports community.
