💨 Abstract
Five miners trapped in the Ekapa diamond mine in Kimberley, South Africa, for three days are presumed dead due to a mudslide. Mines Minister Gwede Mantashe stated that the chances of survival are slim, and rescue efforts are focused on recovering the bodies. The mine, the largest privately owned diamond mining company, is working to pump out water and remove debris to access the miners.
