💨 Abstract
Joslin Smith's kidnappers’ appeal to overturn their convictions and life sentences has been dismissed by the Western Cape High Court. Joslin’s mother, Racquel “Kelly” Smith, Jacquen “Boeta” Appollis, and Steveno van Rhyn were sentenced to life for human trafficking and kidnapping. Judge Nathan Erasmus stated that there was no reasonable prospect of success in their appeal, especially since they showed no remorse.
