💨 Abstract
Johannesburg residents have been warned of a fine up to R1500 for improper use of fireworks during New Year's Eve celebrations. The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has specified that fireworks can only be used between 23:00 and 1:00 on New Year's Eve, and not in public places like schools, hospitals, or near petrol stations.
