đź’¨ Abstract
On July 1, 2025, travellers at Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport faced long queues due to changes at security checkpoints. The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) confirmed "operational disruptions" and deployed additional staff to manage the situation. By late Tuesday, domestic operations had stabilized, but delays persisted for international passengers. ACSA advised passengers to arrive early and proceed directly to security screening.
