💨 Abstract
A South African crew member aboard Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas was stabbed multiple times by her co-worker and partner, also South African. The suspect died after jumping overboard near San Salvador Island. The victim was airlifted to Miami and remains in stable condition. The stabbing is believed to be related to a domestic dispute. This incident has raised concerns about the safety of South African nationals working in the cruise and yachting industries.
