💨 Abstract
US President Donald Trump has extended the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) for one more year, retroactively from September 30, 2025. AGOA provides duty-free access to the US market for over 1,800 products from eligible Sub-Saharan African countries, including South Africa. The extension, following a legislative compromise, aims to support African and American businesses.
