💨 Abstract
South Africa is proposing regulations to set limits on private cannabis use, following a 2018 court ruling that decriminalized adult cannabis use in private. The draft regulations, under the Cannabis for Private Purposes Act, 2024, specify possession and cultivation limits for adults aged 18 and older. The public can comment on these draft rules until March 5, 2026.
