The South African rugby sevens team, the Blitzboks, lost to Fiji in extra time at the Singapore Sevens but still advanced to the semi-finals. After winning their earlier matches against Spain and Great Britain, the Blitzboks faced a tough contest against Fiji, which ended in a dramatic 24-19 loss. Despite the defeat, they will play France in the semi-finals on Sunday. Fiji will face New Zealand.
