💨 Abstract
The rugby community mourns the loss of Lusanda Dumke, the former Springbok Women’s captain, who passed away at 29 after battling a rare gastric cancer. Dumke, named SA Rugby’s Women’s Rugby Player of the Year in 2022, played 33 Tests and captained South Africa three times. She was known for her leadership, courage, and resilience.
