💨 Abstract

The Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Willie Aucamp, has announced the recreational fishing dates for the 2025/26 West Coast Rock Lobster season. The dates were set based on scientific assessments to balance recreational opportunities with sustainability. Fishing is allowed only on specified days, and fishers must have a valid permit and adhere to bag and size limits. Permits can be purchased at South African Post Offices or online.
