💨 Abstract
The seaside village of Happisburgh in Norfolk, UK, is at risk of disappearing due to severe coastal erosion, with around 250 meters lost since 1990. Ian Richards warns that the village's disappearance is already underway, as sea defenses built for a different climate are failing. Despite £3 million spent on erosion prevention in 2012, homes and roads have been lost. Tourists still visit, attracted by the lighthouse and quiet beach.
