💨 Abstract
In Mexico City, María Eugenia Díaz Batres, a dedicated caretaker at the Museum of Natural History and Environmental Culture, has been nurturing nearly 2,600 cocoons of the "four mirrors" moth (Rothschildia orizaba). These moths, culturally significant in Mexico and known as "the butterfly of obsidian knives" by the Aztecs, have seen declining numbers due to urbanization.
