💨 Abstract
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has agreed to settle with the Justice Department, allowing its $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks to proceed. The settlement requires HPE to sell its global Instant On campus and branch business and provide limited access to Juniper’s Mist AIOps technology. The Justice Department initially opposed the deal citing potential harm to competition and innovation. Following the settlement, HPE shares rose over 12% and Juniper's over 8%.
