💨 Abstract
WTOP reports that D.C. has launched a new Parent Portal for tracking school buses for students with individualized education programs. The portal allows parents to directly input pickup and drop-off information, reducing back-and-forth with schools. This aims to address longstanding issues with transportation for students with disabilities. Parents can also select transportation options, including a monthly stipend for self-transportation. Submissions started quickly with 180 submissions within the first few hours.
