đź’¨ Abstract
Israel has accepted a U.S. proposal for a temporary 60-day ceasefire to release hostages held by Hamas. The U.S. special envoy expressed optimism about this plan, which aims to halt the Israel-Hamas conflict. Hamas, while initially cool to the proposal, agreed to study it. The proposal involves Israel pulling back troops, releasing Palestinian prisoners, and allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza. However, both sides have reservations and negotiations continue without a clear resolution.
