💨 Abstract
In Greece, strong August winds attracted kiteboarders near Athens. Gusts of up to 60 km/h turned a coastal beach into an ideal spot for wind sports. Alexios Limperopoulos, a local business owner, described the thrill of high jumps. The seasonal "meltemi" winds, while challenging for sailors, are cherished by kiteboarders, who plan their days around the weather. The community kiteboards year-round, adapting to various conditions.
