💨 Abstract
Montgomery County, Maryland, has unveiled seven new safety initiatives as part of Vision Zero, aiming to eliminate serious injuries and fatalities on its roadways. These plans include converting intersections to ban right turns on red, providing pedestrians with head starts at busy crossings, adding new bike routes and sidewalks, and improving key roads. Additional efforts involve completing school walkability audits, hosting bike safety courses, and increasing police enforcement.
