💨 Abstract
The number of former rugby players suing governing bodies over brain injuries has surged to over 1,000. Rylands Garth, the law firm representing the players, alleges that rugby bodies failed to protect players from concussive impacts. The lawsuit seeks compensation and pressing for safety reforms in the sport. The governing bodies acknowledge the claims and assure ongoing safety efforts. Meanwhile, the law firm also represents around 130 former soccer players in a similar legal action.
