💨 Abstract
In June 2025, Russia’s Security Council Secretary, Sergei Shoigu, visited North Korea to strengthen ties over the war in Ukraine. The talks, led by North Korea's Kim Jong Un, will discuss a strategic partnership and international issues, including Ukraine. Previously, Shoigu met with Pyongyang officials in March, and Russia confirmed that North Korean troops are aiding Russian forces. Ukraine claimed to capture North Korean soldiers fighting alongside Russian forces in Kursk.
