💨 Abstract
North Macedonia plans to abolish import taxes on the U.S. to accelerate negotiations for a reciprocal zero-tariff deal, aiming to stimulate its economy. This move, requiring parliamentary approval, follows a 33% U.S. tariff, higher than that imposed on the EU. The country hopes to increase its $314 million trade volume with the U.S. and discussed a free-trade agreement during a recent meeting with U.S. officials.
