💨 Abstract
Maine Family Planning is suing to restore Medicaid funding blocked by a Trump administration policy targeting abortion providers. The policy, part of a bill nicknamed the “big beautiful bill,” cuts Medicaid funds for groups engaged in family planning services and receiving over $800,000 in Medicaid funds. Maine Family Planning argues that its 18 clinics, which provide essential healthcare in rural Maine, will be forced to halt services without the funding.
