💨 Abstract
At 45, Venus Williams will compete in the U.S. Open singles after a two-year hiatus, receiving a wild-card invitation. She is the oldest entrant since Renee Richards in 1981. Williams has previously won seven Grand Slam singles titles, including two at the U.S. Open in 2000 and 2001. She was also invited to the mixed doubles competition.
